Why the letter of the bra size does not indicate the size of the cup at all!

Why the letter of the bra size does not indicate the size of the cup at all!

Dear girlfriends,

Unfortunately, few women know how bra sizes really work! We want to change that.

I'll tell you why 70E, 75D, 80C, and 85B have the same cups and only the underbust bands change.

Actually, you could assume that cups are made up so that the respective letter indicates the size of the cup, and they get bigger from letter to letter. But that's not the case at all. Compare a bra in 65B and 100B, and you will see that the cups are definitely not the same size. But why is that? The reason is that the cup size and the underbust band have a relational relationship. So, the letter designates a certain cup volume only if it is related to a specific underbust band.

The result of this is the so-called cross sizes. The cup size remains the same in cross sizes, while the underbust size changes. For example, with a 75B, the cup is the same size as with a 70C or 80A, only the underbust size changes.

Are you looking for a bra that fits well, is comfortable and still attractive?Shop here.

So, if a woman chooses an underbust size narrower, she must go up one letter at the same time so that the cup size does not change.

Therefore, you can remember as a rule of thumb:

One underbust band less -> choose one cup more
One underbust band more -> choose one cup less
If your bra still doesn't fit you, there are two other reasons for this:

The cup is not the right size, but the underbust band fits well -> try one cup bigger or smaller (e.g. 75B à 75C).
Cup and the underbust band are not the right sizes -> You probably measured yourself; it is best to measure yourself again and ask a second person for help for better measuring accuracy.

By the way, the most common fit problem is the combination of a too wide underbust band with a too-small cup. Due to the fact that many women don't realize that the letters don't really tell anything about the size, they don't dare to go for big letters. I felt the same way. I used to wear a 75D because you can find them in all the usual stores. But this size never really fit me well. When I measured myself correctly, I found out that my correct size was 70F. I would never have gone for an F size! But so suddenly, everything actually fit really well. Never again would I go for a 75D now because a well-fitting bra makes a huge difference. It makes a nicer breast shape and just feels good. So dare, dear women and reach out; the right-fitting bra changes everything.
