Some do it, while others are strongly against it: sleeping with a bra. We've wondered, is it healthy to wear a bra at night, and does it keep the breasts in shape?

A bra beautifully shapes our feminine curves, lifts the bust, and makes it appear larger. Most women can't imagine a life without a bra, even at night. In fact, around 80% of all women don't take off their bras even when sleeping. But is it healthy? And does it really prevent breast sagging? We did some digging:

Should we wear a bra 24/7 for a well-shaped bust? Of course, it's up to each person to decide whether to take off their bra at night or not. However, wearing a bra for 24 hours straight isn't particularly healthy. It can lead to unsightly stretch marks and disrupt blood circulation. This can result in the compression of lymph nodes and lymphatic channels, disrupting the flow. During our regeneration time, toxins are filtered and eliminated. Wearing a poorly fitting bra, one that's too tight or too loose, impairs this crucial regenerative process and compresses the lymphatic system. The result? Cysts can form, and in the worst case, even tumors. If, out of habit, you can't go without a bra at night, at least make sure it fits properly (you can get a proper fitting at a specialty store) and doesn't constrict. Alternatively, consider getting a well-fitting sports bra. It provides support while allowing the lymph to work unrestrictedly.

Do breasts stay firm when wearing a bra around the clock? Unfortunately, that's a misconception. A bra cannot influence breast sagging. Experts believe that wearing one can even accelerate sagging, as the chest muscles are less engaged compared to not wearing a bra. So, if you're only wearing a bra to prevent breast sagging, but it's uncomfortable, you might want to reconsider. There are more disadvantages than advantages!
