5 Things You Didn't Know About Personal Shopping

Why Personal Shopping is Becoming More Popular

Why is personal shopping gaining popularity? Many people dislike shopping for clothes. They don't have the time or the desire, so they end up buying the same things repeatedly or not finding what they're looking for.

Or perhaps they don't even know what they should be looking for. They might be stuck in their old looks and no longer reflect the image they want to portray.

Does this sound familiar to you? The idea of personal shopping has emerged to address these issues. Stressed-out businesspeople who don't want to worry about their own clothing style should receive professional guidance and service.

In Germany, personal shopping, also known as shopping consultancy, has only become a well-known term in recent years. However, with the series "Sex and the City" and Guido Kretschmer's show "Shopping Queen," the importance of style and fashion for one's personal presentation has long been in our minds.

1. More People Are Opting for Convenience

It has now become trendy and intriguing to refine one's personal style through professional guidance. In the past, people were often uncomfortable seeking help with their style. But in our fast-paced and visual age, appearance and outward presentation have become increasingly important.

Not only is lack of time a reason, but also the appropriate level and quality of clothing selection, which makes finding the right wardrobe more complex for many. That's why more and more people are indulging in this service. And it's not just politicians or actors seeking professional advice; personal shopping has become a form of consultation that anyone can benefit from, similar to hiring an architect for home planning and execution or a personal trainer for physical well-being.

Moreover, private consultations often provide valuable knowledge that one can later apply independently.

2. What Personal Shopping Offers

In my opinion, a personal shopper needs to possess more skills than a communicative saleswoman who typically operates within a limited scope of the fashion world and earns a commission for each item sold. She usually doesn't know you as a customer: your social circle, your league, your target audience, your daily challenges – business meetings, travels to other countries, transitioning to a new job, or a new phase in life?

3. What Sets It Apart

I prepare your personal shopping by reserving suitable items after an in-depth conversation. You set the budget, whether exclusive or affordable, and I select the stores and make a preliminary selection of possible clothing items. Sometimes, I also order online if the required items are not available in physical stores. The next day, you simply try on these items conveniently in person, and we make the selections together. This not only saves you time and money but also turns shopping into a relaxed and enjoyable experience.

Feedback from a customer, 1.80m tall, size 48, after 4 hours of shopping consultation:

"It was an incredible experience to dive into a world that was so unfamiliar to me, and it was exciting to see that clothing I wouldn't have chosen fits me so well. Your work works wonders - I'm delighted every day when I pull out a new outfit from my closet, in which I feel extremely comfortable and receive such wonderful compliments. It does me so much good! Now I go shopping with a completely different perspective, eager for more silhouette and color - I just feel very comfortable with it."

I want your personal shopping to be a sensual and meaningful experience!

For me, it's about highlighting and making visible the uniqueness of my customers; it's the finishing touch, so to speak. It involves many details that matter and through which one can showcase personal style.

That's why most people come to me not only for a solid foundation wardrobe with perfect pieces but also to learn how to develop their own unique style. I show you the possibilities, what suits you, and how you can complement your wardrobe and cleverly combine individual pieces. This can involve special color combinations, new silhouettes, and, above all, breaking away from simple looks to give the entire outfit a personal character. That's where the art lies!

This applies to all body shapes, sizes, and challenges that a body can present. I now have a wealth of experience and am well-versed in the entire fashion world, from labels and stores to cuts, fits, and prices, both in physical stores and online.

Tired of Having the Same Things in Your Closet?

I want to inspire you to try something new during a personal shopping session: colors, cuts, silhouettes, accessories, and even a new "role" that you've never tried before. When I go shopping with clients, I am very honest and won't let go until I'm 100% satisfied.

Feedback from a 44-year-old business consultant, 1.98m tall, after 5 hours of personal shopping:

"What benefited me the most was having someone who provided new insights. I no longer have to worry about keeping up with current trends but still get to enjoy them. It was also great that you had a knack for finding special deals. I've never gotten decent suits at such low prices before. But the best part was 'speed shopping.' Walk in, try on, make decisions. Done: Wonderful :) 5 stars to you."

4. What If Items Aren't Available in Physical Stores?

This does happen occasionally. Customers with specific, rare sizes, very tall or very short individuals, curvy types, or those with difficult feet face unique challenges. Since many physical stores can't afford to keep these less common sizes in stock, they have specialized in online retail.

There are specific shoe manufacturers for Hallux feet, women's shoes in size 43, providers for very tall people with extra-long arms, labels for petite women in size 32/34, and men's clothing for individuals under 5'6". The online offering for larger sizes has also improved significantly.
