Why You Shouldn't Wear Black Underwear

Psychology — An Australian Color Consultant Recommends Choosing Specific Colors for Your Underwear to Improve Your Mood.

Color consultant Anjel O'Bryant suggests that the color of our clothing significantly affects our mood and energy levels. She particularly recommends opting for colorful undergarments. Her explanation: Each color vibrates in different ways and with varying strengths. This effect is especially potent when it resonates with the root chakra (also known as Muladhara). The root chakra is located where our underwear sits – at the perineum, between the genitals, anus, and coccyx. It connects the body and soul to the Earth and is generally considered our power station. According to O'Bryant, the color of our underwear can influence our mood. Whether it's visible or not doesn't matter because the energy of the color penetrates the skin and spreads throughout the body to the brain.

What's the Best Color?

The choice of color depends on what you want to influence. According to the specialist, red is the best choice if you want to add more energy to your sex life. The color is considered sexy and exudes extroversion. For those suffering from sleep deprivation or experiencing stress, O'Bryant recommends pale blue or pale pink, as these colors have a calming effect. However, even better than red is a dark blue, like ultramarine. This color has a calming effect and radiates professionalism. Aquamarine blue (a blue with a high green component) is suitable when concentration is required.

Avoid Black Underwear

If you prefer black underwear, we have disappointing news: according to the specialist, black, white, and gray are poor choices because they lack vibrancy and disrupt the flow of energy. Black, she says, conveys the message, "I want to control you"; gray implies, "I am emotionally uninvolved"; and white signifies, "I need my space." Even brown reduces energy.
