Why No Underwire Bras - Interview with a Naturopath
At our focus lies well-being and healthy living in the right bra without underwires.
The bra expert had the opportunity to ask Naturopath Anne Salloch six questions about whether and why a bra without underwires is preferable to an underwire bra.
Bra Specialist: "Is the topic of 'bras' important for naturopaths like yourself?"
Naturopath Anne Salloch: "Yes, it is important, as breast glands are organs that accumulate toxins."
Bra Specialist: "In your opinion, what should one consider when choosing a bra?"
Naturopath Anne Salloch: "That it is made of natural materials like cotton, fits comfortably, and doesn't compress, allowing lymphatic flow."
Bra Specialist: "Does it actually matter whether the bra is an underwire bra or a bra without underwires?"
Naturopath Anne Salloch: "Absolutely; a bra without underwires allows lymphatic circulation, preventing or reducing the buildup of toxins in the breast glands."
Bra Specialist: "In your opinion, who should opt for a bra without underwires?"
Naturopath Anne Salloch: "For all women."
Bra Specialist: "A bra's purpose includes protecting women from health issues that can arise when excessive breast weight strains the connective tissue and indirectly the spine. Some say that for cup sizes D and larger, one should always choose an underwire bra to avoid straining the connective tissue too much. What is your take on this?"
Naturopath Anne Salloch: "If the connective tissue is weak, it should be strengthened. In my opinion, a well-fitting bra without underwires in larger sizes can also ensure this. Posture also plays a role."
Bra Specialist: "Is it true that it's important to wear a sports bra when engaging in physical activity? If 'yes,' why?"
Naturopath Anne Salloch: "Because a sports bra provides better support for the breasts during physical activity, which is extremely important due to the increased stress."
Bra Specialist: "Ms. Salloch, we sincerely thank you for this informative conversation."
