How Many Bras Should I Own?

How Many Bras Should I Own.jpg

How many bras should you actually have in your underwear drawer? One, two, three ... twenty? Can you have just one bra that you wear, wash, let dry overnight and then put back on the next morning? Absolutely, if you want to buy a new bra every two months. Below, we explain why it's better to own five bras than two (and no, we're not saying that to sell more bras).

Have you ever considered that if you own two bras that you wear just as often, you wear each bra 188 days a year, or 365 days in two years? No wonder it wears out quickly. Not even an expensive quality bra can withstand that much. A garment like a bra that you wear directly on your body is exposed to heat and friction. The material is elastic and stretches as it fits snugly to lift and give support to the bust. If the bra is not worn constantly, the textile fibers have a chance to regenerate and thus remain elastic and last longer. Therefore, you should not wear the same bra two days in a row. The more bras you have that you can switch between, the better.

VARIATION IS GOOD FOR THE BODY

However, it's not just your bra that needs a break. The same goes for your skin and your body. Even though a well-fitting bra in the right size shouldn't cut in, it can be difficult to avoid, especially if you have a voluptuous figure or a very large bust. By switching between different bra models that have the straps placed in different places, you can distribute the pressure points to different areas.

DIFFERENT BRAS OFFER DIFFERENT SUPPORT

People wear different bras for different occasions. To get the most out of your bra wardrobe, it makes sense to customize it to your personal lifestyle.

Regardless of whether you have a small or larger bust, there are occasions when you need extra support. It quickly becomes uncomfortable and warm for breasts that are very saggy when skin is on skin. To prevent this, we recommend always wearing an underwire bra, as the underwire lifts and supports the bust in a way that separates the breasts, giving them each support on their own, rather than squeezing them together as one.

Okay Trendy without underwire and Okay Trendy with underwire.

Complete your lingerie drawer with different models of bra that provide different support and also give the body the opportunity to regenerate. Here are Okay Trendy without underwire and Okay Trendy with underwire.

Also, don't wear a delicate, soft bra that offers little support if you have an active lifestyle and do a lot of exercises, especially if you have larger breasts. If you work out, it's worth investing in a proper sports bra. Sports bras are available in different firmness (bounce-control), so you can choose a model that suits your needs. For yoga and power walking, you don't need a sports bra for high-intensity workouts that involve a lot of bouncing. Choose a model that matches your activity level.

ASSEMBLE YOUR BRA WARDROBE WITH THESE MODELS.

- Think smart when it comes to color. Choose at least one or two bras that match your skin tone, such as beige or brown, if you don't want the bra to show through your clothing. If you like color, red is a good option as this, like pink, is less noticeable under thin clothing.

- One or two comfortable bras are perfect for everyday wear. Cotton is wear-resistant and the perfect material for an everyday bra.

- One or two underwire bras that lift the bust and provide good support.

- A t-shirt bra with molded cups that are virtually unnoticeable under thin clothing.

- A sports bra for activities.

- A bra for special occasions when you want to dress extra nicely, such as when you are invited to a party or wedding.

- A multiway bra where you can adjust the straps. Perfect if you want the straps to disappear, for example, if you wear a top with a ringer back or want to change the pressure point on the shoulders.

WHEN YOU HAVE FOUND YOUR FAVORITE BRA...

When you have found your favorite model that you want to wear every day, it is better to buy two or three of them than other models that you will not wear. If you prefer underwire bras, then you should choose only bras with underwire. Of course, the same applies vice versa - if you don't like to wear underwire bras, choose an underwire-free model, but one that offers really good support, especially if you have a larger bust. Choose a sturdy model with a wide back made of strong material or with additional reinforcement in the cups.

Underwear should always be comfortable to wear, and you should dress exactly as you like. Of course, it doesn't make sense to own masses of bras that then live an unloved, unworn existence in your lingerie drawer, but you definitely need more than two bras if you want your bras to last longer. Four to six bras is a good number, so how about five?
