Simply tossing them in a drawer and calling it a day? Wrong! When it comes to storing your bras, there's more to it than you might think. Here are some tips to keep in mind to ensure your bras last longer.

Protect your bras from moisture and direct sunlight during storage. It's advisable to have a dedicated drawer in your dresser or a separate box in your wardrobe – preferably made of wood to allow ample air circulation around the pieces. However, be cautious! Rough wood can have splinters that can damage your bras. In that case, line the box with a silk cloth or something similar to safeguard your lingerie from damage. It's also a good idea to place individual pieces in designated lingerie bags in the closet to prevent any color transfer.

It's important to ensure that there's plenty of space in the box or drawer, and your lingerie doesn't get crushed. Stack your bras loosely on top of each other. Even better, if you have ample space, lay them side by side.

To save space, you can gently cross the bra's underwire. But what you should never do is flip the bra cups inside out, as doing so can cause them to lose their shape.

Make sure there are no creases forming during storage.

After wearing, it's not advisable to immediately return used bras to the drawer. Instead, let them air out on a chair or clothes hanger.
