5 Things You Should Stop Doing for Plus Size Fashion

Today'S article is all about the things you need to stop doing. When I asked you guys what you wanted me to talk about, and so many of you wanted me to talk about plus size, fashion tips, okay and so in this article. That'S exactly what we're going to talking about! I'M going to be sharing with you, the things that you need to stop doing and the things you should do instead, so it's kind of like don't do this.

We need to stop doing is wearing the wrong undergarments, i'm passionate about about foundation. Okay, i'm passionate about, and not the one you put in your face, but the one you wear underneath your clothes. I think that you can have the cutest outfit okay, you can be on point okay, you could have gone to bottega gucci louboutin acne. You can be kidded out from head to toe, but if you have the wrong undergarments on it ruins everything now, like i said we are all guilty because on sundays i just need to go to the grocery store and i don't care if you can see my Vpn, okay, but on the days where you want to make a statement, there's some foundational things that you need to make sure you have in your arsenal.

When it comes to your undergarments, you need to have um seamless under underwear. That'S number one! You need to have shapewear if you believe in wearing shapewear and the right size shapewear. You need to make sure you wear the right bra. Okay, i think that is the one that we are most of us are the most guilty. I think that bra fitting needs to be a class that is taught in high school or middle school. I think that it's important that if you have not been fitted for a bra recently, that you go in and get fitted, i actually called elaine bryant, because i was um doing something with someone and i wanted to know you know how they fit whether they're fitting Bras during you know, because of the panoramic, and they said that they can help you you can come in and they can help you with the fitting it's just going to be contact free. So if you don't know where to go, most department stores do do bra fittings. Lane. Bryant does do a broad fitting, but you need to make sure you have the right bra, okay and i recently had a virtual bar fitting and it changed my life because i am 30 something years old and i was 37 years old until the day that i Knew that your cup, you really need to make sure that your whole breast tissue fits into your cup. Okay, the band or of the underwire is not supposed to the underwire, not the man. Underwire is supposed to sit on your rib cage, not on your breast tissue. Okay, that's the tip right there so having the right bra and the right underwear is okay, and especially for your body. So if you carry a lot of weight in the belly, maybe you want to invest in some seamless brief control, breeze right. If you're really busty, then maybe you really want to go into for that fitting. So you can find the right cup and bond size and band size for you all right.

So stop sis stop! Stop! Stop wearing the wrong undergarments! All right! I talked a little bit about body type and that's the next thing. We need to stop doing, stop wearing the wrong clothes for your body type. Now. This is very debatable and a little bit controversial in the curvy community, because you know you have slogans like f, flattering and etc, etc, and i totally believe that we should all wear whatever we feel the most comfortable in. So whatever you feel comfortable in says. Wear it okay, however, there's nothing wrong with the knowledge of what works for your body right. You need to. You should know your body type and, if you don't i'm going to put a link to like a body type calculator, all you're going to need is the measuring tape to measure your um different proportions and it'll tell you like what your body type is? Okay, so you need to know your body type, because when you know your body type, then you know exactly what clothing can fit and flatter you now. It's really important to know the proportions that work for you and the styles that work for you and then you can wear whatever you want. After that. Okay, you know like you could wear like for my body type. I know that things that are rectangular don't really work for me, because i have really full hips, really slender um shoulders, a smaller waist, and so when i wear rectangular pieces or like sheet dresses, it kind of makes me look wider and there's so much fabric up. Here so i can still wear those, and sometimes i do wear those, but i know that you know so: i'm not filling my closet with rectangular shaped pieces like t-shirt, dresses and sheet dresses.

Okay, so another thing we need to stop doing is running away from trends. I feel like plus women in the kirby community plus size mid-size, whatever size i feel like we get so sometimes we can get really stuck in a rut. Um we're really afraid to try things. Oh i don't know. If that's gon na look good on me, sis, you will never know, you will never know and insert that tick. Tock sound since you will never know if you don't try the trend. So please, i think, there's nothing wrong with seasonally buying a couple of magazines. Seeing what's on trend again, i talked about this in my trend, video there's, like trends, aren't what they used to be now. It really is very personalized. It'S really up to you there's way more micro trends than there ever are major trends at this point, but so that really gives you a lot of options. You can look to see all of the trends that are out um. If you haven't seen my spring and summer trends, video like since, why you know it'll be linked in the description but anyways, you know you can really see like what trends are out there and pick the ones that are closest to your style like if you have A more feminine style then pick the more feminine trends. Pastels always come back every spring. So hey! That'S one pick the top two pastel colors that are popping you know at the moment. Lavender is having a moment so add some more lavender pieces to your wardrobe. Color trends are always the easiest, because you can literally stick with the silhouettes that you're most comfortable with just in fresh new colors. Okay, so definitely stop running away from the trends you got. Try it fashion's meant to be fun. If you look stupid, you know, we've all looked stupid all right, so the next thing that we all need to stop. I think we all, because i don't want you to feel like i'm, pointing fingers at you, everybody we're all guilty.

Okay in this article, we all need to stop doing is wearing baggy clothes. Okay, i feel like a lot of women when their bodies change, especially when they start to pick up some extra weight. Their default is to just wear baggy clothes to disguise their body, size rock. The body you currently have proudly choose pieces that accentuate your assets. Okay and pieces that conceal the assets you don't want accentuated but wearing a baggy sack just makes you look bigger now, unless you intentionally want to wear a baggy sack and if you do then more power to you. But if your idea is to hide your body in baggy clothes, you're really doing yourself a disservice, stop doing this. It'S also important, i feel like in our community, to really pay attention to your body um as someone who has been all the way up to a size, 20 and all the way down to size 10 and in my adult life of yo-yo. It'S really important to make sure that, if your weight changes by 15 to 20 pounds that you look at those essential items in your wardrobe and you update them according to your size like so, if you've lost 30 pounds, you don't want to wear the same. Baggy t-shirt the same t-shirt you wore when you were 30 pounds heavier. It'S gon na look huge and baggy on you. Okay, so just bear that in mind and then of course i got ta come for my other sis. Stop wearing tight clothes. Okay, we all need to stop doing this.

You really need to understand the difference between something that fits and something that's tight. Okay again, if you've gained 30 pounds, you probably can't wear the same t-shirt or the same dress that you've worn or the same pair of jeans when you wear clothes are too tight for your body. It actually makes you look fatter. It actually makes you unless that's your intention, if that's your intention, more power to you um, it actually makes you look bigger. You know so bear that in mind. Stop wearing super tight clothes. It really does you no service at all. Okay and you don't want to look like a sausage popping out of your clothes, so it's really important to again if you lose some weight um to kind of change around those basics and if you gain some weight to try, go ahead and invest in those basics And i actually did a whole blog post on how to style your body at any size, and one of those tips was to throw out anything that doesn't fit, whether it's too big or too small, throw it away. Okay, throw it away stop doing this now.

The last tip i'm gon na give you sis to me the most important tip, okay, the most important tip. I hope you waited for this tip. Okay is going to be to stop waiting till you lose weight. This is specifically for my mid-size girls, my plus-size girls, we've all been somewhere in our genetics, not genetics somewhere when we were growing up. We all sort of like receive this piece of information that, when we become insert goal weight that we will finally be able to live our lives. Okay, that is a lie. A huge lie. Please do not wait till you're a certain size to wear something you want to wear. Do not wait till you lose weight. Okay, if you want to wear a bodycon dress and your size 26 go ahead. Sis, if you want to wear a body cam con dress and your size 12 go ahead. Sis if you want to wear some shorts, and you got some some thunder thighs like me. Okay and your size, 24 go ahead. Sis and your size eight go ahead. Sis sis sis go ahead, consider this permission to go ahead. Now i get you know, comments and dm's from girls like. Oh my god. I want to do this, but i can't, for example, my arms, my arms, definitely a huge source of insecurity. For me, and for years i never wore anything that was sleeveless. Two years ago i was like you know what it's hot and i want to wear a tank top. So i wore one and i started wearing tank tops and i've been wearing tank tops and guess what nothing has changed with my arms, i'm not skinnier than i was and i'm not that much bigger either. You know and i started wearing tank tops. You know if you want to go on a trip you want to go to miami. You want to go to vegas, you want to go to fiji sis, but you don't want to go because you're waiting till you're certain um wait.

I hope this panoramic has taught you something that tomorrow is really really you can't count on it. So if you want to wear something sis, wear it, okay, wear it right now, of course, i believe that you should wear things that work for your body, of course, that i believe that you should wear things that flatter your shape. Of course, i believe all these things, but i more importantly, i believe that you should not let anybody else opinion of what you look like or how you think other people will perceive what you look like. Stop you from living the life that you want to live. Stop you from wearing the clothes that you want to wear, even if it doesn't really work for your shape at least wear it once if you really want to wear it. That'S the whole point. Don'T wait, do not wait! Wear what you want! Okay, don't wait! Wear it now, sis stop doing this all right guys.
